Game-based learning start-up Funmiyo launches Funmath class at Peace Public school Kottakkal

New Delhi (India), March 16: Funmiyo Ed-tech Pvt. Ltd to launch Funmath classes at Peace Public School Kottakkal. Funmiyo, a Malappuram-based game-based learning start-up, launched Funmath classes in first-grade classrooms. This is in line with the recommendation in the National Education Policy 2020 to teach mathematics through games and activities. For enhancing children’s mathematical reasoning and 21st-century skills, educational experts and policymakers suggest using this novel pedagogical technique.

A team of two educators founded Funmiyo in the latter half of 2021 with the intention of revolutionizing mathematical education through cutting-edge pedagogy, compelling content, and an exceptional learning environment. In just two years, the company has done a great job of getting a game-based learning system into more than 60 schools in Kerala. Funmiyo’s courses have been shown to realise learning outcomes and reduce math phobia in children.

Aravind P. and Rajesh M. N., Funmiyo’s co-founders, expressed their delight in launching the new product to assist schools in providing wonderful learning experiences. “In the last two years, we’ve had an incredible journey, striking the right balance of cutting-edge pedagogy and human touch to solve problems faced by children and educators. Funmiyo wants to bring the Funmath class to 20 schools during the next academic year. They believe in steady, natural growth.

Students are always taught mathematics in the same dry and formal manner. As a result, they are unable to connect mathematics with happiness and enjoyment. Funmath class will transform everything by bringing fun games and activities into the mathematics classroom. Students’ natural desire to learn will soar now that they know mathematics can be learned and applied. This is a scientific method for overcoming their math phobia.

Mr. Jouhar M., Peace Public School Principal Kottakal
